Changes to my study programme

Hello, today I will talk about the changes I would make to my program of studies.

First of all, as far as the architecture curriculum is concerned, I would eliminate the "transversal" branch since I find it unnecessary and it leads to an excess of academic load. On the other hand, in the first semester I would add some branch of graphic techniques both by hand and digital programs because usually one learns these things as the career progresses and often we have deficiencies that could be overcome having these initial branches that would allow all students to have an even level in terms of these things.

Secondly, I think that the workload is somewhat excessive in some cases (obviously this is variable because it will always depend mostly on the teacher who teaches the course) but if the duration of the course were to be shortened, the semesters would have to be even more intense in order to compact all the knowledge necessary to obtain the degree, which is why I think that the total duration is fine for the "integral architect" approach that the university is looking for.

Thirdly, the infrastructure of FAU at least has many shortcomings that are supported by the fact that it is a building considered historical and cultural heritage and therefore getting permissions to make repairs to the building is very difficult. In general, I would like to see more availability of adequate work tables (if possible with a surface with a cutter included!!!) and also that all the rooms have new tables to avoid the neck and back pain that the old ones cause, in addition to being extremely uncomfortable.

Finally, the teaching method of some professors of the faculty, mostly workshop teachers, I think it is quite obsolete, both for the mistreatment of students and for the exercises that sometimes do not contribute to the training of architect.

Time travel to the past or future

Hi, 

today I am go to talk about where I would like to travel to, the past or the future.

Personally, I totally prefer to travel to the future and I would like, if technological advances allow it, to visit space, any planet would be good for me but if I could I would definitely go to Uranus or even to a neighboring galaxy and live an experience like that before I die, I think it is an unmissable and fascinating opportunity to see the universe from another perspective and discover if there is life elsewhere.

In short, if I were to travel to the future I would like to advance at least ninety years to achieve my goal of traveling to space safely and with the possibility of returning before I get old, I think I would not stay there because I am very attached to my dogs and I would not bear not seeing them again but I would like to stay a short period of time to live the experience of that reality.

My dream job

Hi,

When I think of the job I would like to have in the future I always think of something related to photography, when I finished high school I wanted to study something that had to do with that but different situations led me to study architecture. Now based on my current life, I always think that I would like to dedicate myself to architectural photography, so I relate what I studied with what I really like. In general I think that many of the skills necessary for photography can be learned in the architecture career and many others I have been learning in a self-taught way, in general I always try to complement what I learn at the university with my personal research.

To be honest, I have no idea what it would be like to seriously dedicate myself to this (full time) in the future and make a living from it, I think I would probably have to complement it with another job to make ends meet and that I would have to be very organized to have time for both but I would still like to try.

The best concert ever

 Hi!

The best concert I´ve been to was definitely Bad Bunny. It was last year at the National Stadium so the place was very crowded.

Bad Bunny is an artist that may not be to everyone´s taste but, in my case, I love his music, he usually does reggaeton and trapp, although he has experimented with other genres.

On that occasion I went to the location "cancha" and the truth is that it seemed like a party, all the people were chanting the songs and enjoying themselves. My favorite moment of the concert was when the artist made a selection of about five old songs, which were part of my favorite songs of his repertoire. 
 

A country I would like to visit

A country that I would like to go to is Japan, I consider that it is a place full of culture, where you can learn a lot. Another thing that I quite like about this country is its architecture, added to the fact that very famous architects were born in this country, the city and everthing as a whole seems, to me, worth admiring. 

Usually, when talking about Japan the first thing that comes to mind is anime and manga, and that is indeed the reason why this country caught my attention in the first instance, when I entered this career I fell in love with its architecture, but not only that, over time I discovered the costume design that happens in this country, among other things, and that made me even more interesred in it.

In short, if someday I travel to Japan, I would like to visit Hiroshima for its cultural importance and also Tokyo, because being such a big city I feel that there are a thousand things to do there and just being able to observe both the architecture and the street style calls me.

Personally, I would first like to visit the place to see if I adapt to the culture and customs, and then, if so, I would love to stay and live in the country for a short period of time to learn both the lenguage and the way of working.
